Default Despatch Rider Patch With Tentative Date

Hi Gents,

Dating Despatch Rider badges is a real challenge. Being an unofficial item and with limited photographic evidence, it becomes almost impossible to attribute these to a specific date or even period.

With all that in mind. I have just had this lovely little group arrive, DR patch with an original receipt (for motorcycle & parts) dated to 1930. Now of course there is no proof that these two items have always been together, so to say this patch dates to 1930 would be a stretch. However it is still a nice find and is a tantalizing possibility and with so little information known about these, anything, however speculative is still nice.
