Strange KOSB badge
Can anyone throw any light on this odd badge, namely what are the little loops for and also the strange soldered bars are for on the reverse. The badge is of normal size and would appear to be silver plate. What say you?

Could the attachment on the back be a form of hinge?

KOSB badge
I think this could have been converted to a belt buckle albeit either unfinshed or broken.

Either of the above could be correct but what purpose do the rings have?

Maybe it’s been converted for a sporran and the holes are to hang the tassels off?
