Default W.M.B.C Cap Badge

Hi All

Apologies been a while since been on here but during a visit to a local antiques centre in Staffordshire I came across the following white metal cap badge which I have never seen before.
Whilst doing a google search i have found the W.M = Wimborne Minster but its what the B.C stands for.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Could be Borough Council but certainly not Borough Constabulary.

Default W.M.B.C Badge

Hi All

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. One that I have found since posting is Borough Constable.
In the history of the town it states that it ranks nominally as a borough, governed by a constable and 2 bailiffs.
Please keep the suggestions going please as I am still not convinced on that one either.
