Default British Columbia Canteen/British Canteen Columbia

Any one know anything about this badge? Who and where they were.

Should have looked up the flag before posting.

One of the organisations medals is for sale on Sally Bosley's sales web site -

"The British Columbia Services Canteen was based at British Columbia House, Lower Regent Street, London. It opened on December 23 1939 its aim was to make Canadian Servicemen feel at home in England with food and coffee served the Canadian way. The canteen served its last meal on January 14 1946."

The British Columbia Canteen is listed as one of the available facilities in this "Canadian Sailors', Soldiers' and Airmen's Leave Guide for London"

I'd seen this article but didn't think it related to the British Columbian Canteen badge - it does, as the lady received a BCC medal for War Service.
