Who are "they" ? Speaking as a Deputy Commandant, the CoC have to consider any suggestions (such as this) put forward by CFAVs. It is most definitely NOT a massive amount of paperwork. If there is a good, valid logical reason why the detachment should rebadge staff it to the Commandant through your OC

I am going to end up with one of the interviews without Coffee at HQ at this rate but the last 2 Commandants have not been enthusiastic about rebadging detachments except in the RTR case where indivuals had interests but there was no local connection whatsoever with the town.

I think I have a good case as the RWY had their HQ in the town for many years, we have a thriving OCA and 2 of the current Town Councilors including the Mayor is ex-RWY
