Could they be part of a Royal Marines badge, Officers badge has a separate Crown, just a thought also Signals had seperate Crown above the winged Mercury (jimmy)?

Interesting
Were they always a pair?
Royal Marine has lion atop the crown in its officer configuration - also, it would be Gilt, or Bze dependent on the matching bottom Globe and Laurel for type of dress.
Not sure if at some stage crowns like these (but gilt) were worn on RM Mess dress - but apologies can not remember if on lapel rather than epaulette.
Sorry not to be more definitive, but perhaps an RM expert may be able to clarify.
I guess Signals is an option if fittings correct and two singles brought together in a marriage rather than a pair.
Mike

Yes you're right Marine Officers had the Lion atop Crown, RAF Crown above Eagle sounds good too! backing plate for Signals top slot would be right for the Crowns you have shown but none to hand to check!

Hi,
They are not for the RAF officer cap badge, here comparison with 2 RAF officer cap badge crowns. My 2 little crowns are smaller. So maybe for the Royal Corps of signals post war cap badge, But I don't havre any for comparison...

Yes it’s signals. Here’s a very over priced one on eBay for comparison: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-R...415f%7Ciid%3A1 .

You're right it is a 1946-1953 Royal Corps of Signals cap badge crown.
Not in my interest, so if anyone needs a spare crown, feel free to contact me.
