Default 101 Troop, 6 Commando

Item #350 in Bosleys upcoming 29 January 2020 auction is a 101 Troop 6 Commando formation sign. I would appreciate hearing what others think of it.

It already sold at their last auction, your link is to the last auction
It was a good one. I think it was about £4500 including extras

I remember seeing it and certainly thought at the time "I need to have that" sadly, reality got in the way!

Frank - it is true. I sometimes wonder what veterans would have thought if they were alive today. Given many of them lived in houses that would have cost them possibly half, or a third, (or even less) of the price of such items of insignia today.

Quite mad really - I often wondered if we collectors will one day have a big reunion in the funny farm or the poor house.

Agreed, it is rather more money that the majority of those fellows would have ever seen in their lifetimes, regarding the latter, I suspect the poor house is a safe bet.
