Default Herts VR, opinions welcome

Hello, bought this badge recently, found it in an antiques cabinet on its own. Any opinions would be welcome.

Thanks Luke, I thought it was OK when I bought it. Nice addition to my Anglian collection.

Default Herts VR,

Same as mine, with a clipped slider, coincidence or for some reason?

Hi Rob, I also wonder why the slider is clipped quite so short.I can’t imagine how this would of been an advantage in any type of headgear? Has yours also got a dark patina, I can’t decide if it is the remains of a bronzed Finnish or ageing?
