Hi everyone - This is my first Post, although I have spent hundreds of hours reading threads just to try and improve my understanding of this crazy hobby (and to keep a track of how much money I've wasted on hooky badges over the last two or three years!) The level of knowledge displayed by you guys NEVER cease to amaze me - so I wonder if you could help? I have a silver "thingy" (1939 hallmark I think, although may be 1914??) - Clearly it's a Royal Artillery "thingy", but can anyone please tell me what it is/what it was used for?? Hope the pics are OK... thanks so much!
