Default Chief Petty Officer WWII Rank

Hi Team

This is another Item from a WWII Kiwi veteran.

This is 8.5cm length

Again looking for help , sorry for my ignorance where would this have been used Cap(?).

Interesting how they have that bar on the reverse, im not sure what that is , early use of plastic(???).

Phil,

Worn on the peaked cap.

the stiffening bar is common to these and would have had a black cloth backing originally.
