What is the Tartan backing on this badge
Dear Friends.
Can someone please advise me what the Tartan Backing on the attached photo is please. The correct Tartan for this Glengarry Badge is the Grant Tartan as worn by 32 Signal Regiment (V). I have no idea why this badge is on this Tartan. Any theories would be appreciated. Many thanks Chris Walker |

Looks a bit like Forbes, if the dark stripes run vertically rather than horizontally.

Wrong tarten for the Royal Signals Pipes and Drums and for 32 Sig Regt so no idea why someone used that one. They dropped the V in the title in 2016.

What Tartan is it ?
Dear Phil.
It does indeed look very much like the Tartan of the Clan Graham with the Graham of Menteith (Ancient) tartan. Absolutely no reason what so ever for this backing to be displayed with this Glengarry Badge. Can only assume that the owner had nothing else to use. Many thanks Kind regards Chris |

Is the white stripe not too prominent for Graham?
