Is there a database somewhere that lists who received numbered war service badges, class a,b and c?

Default War Service Badge numbers......

Mike:
What is the number on the reverse of your badge?
What WSB is it- WWII or WWI? Type?
I might be able to assist.
Cheers,
John S.

Default War Service Badge #`s....

Mike:
There is no formal available listing for any of the WWI or WWII War Service Badges, however, living in Ottawa and being fairly familiar with Library and Archives Canada, several years ago I put together a database of all known WWI and WWII WSB`s. It took me the better part of a year to do this work, which consisted of a couple of nights` inscribing information per week, but it did get done. I can tell you that the record keeping for WWI leaves a lot to be desired- I guess a lot of the numbers were not properly forwarded to LAC at the time, so unfortunately, extant records for WWI are very much a hit and miss situation. Sometimes the number on the reverse of the badge can be tracked down, but more often than not, there is no record to be found.
Fortunately, the WWII record keeping was much better, and numbers can be tracked down with a much better chance of success.
Depending on what the numbers are on the badges` reverse, I will see what I can do for you, if you would like.
Cheers,
John S.
