Default Beret Officer Queens Lancashire Reg.

Can anyone confirm these items ie. the beret and the bullion cap badge are correct for each other.
The beret is Blue/ Black in colour.
Any help appreciated Tony.

Looks ok, beret manufactured during the 1980's or thereabouts as was this one.

Tony,
I have a note that the beret badge was the last pattern worn only in 2005-6 prior to amalgamation into the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment.

Tim

PS Incorrect. See my later post.

The Alex Baker set of water colour postcards on the QLR shows this badge as being in wear in 1991-92, would the version of the bullion badge worn during the last few years of the regiment's existence have had the crown as part of the design?
(Or is there a hard to spot crown on the badge in the illustration?)

From "The Regiment" issue 48 showing a bullion badge being worn in 2000. Again I can't be sure, is there a crown above the rose?

Yes I got it the wrong way round. The badge without crown was worn until 2004. This is the last pattern worn 2004-2006:

The badge shown on the berets in posts 1 & 2 is actually a collar badge isn't it?

According to Robin Hodges (page 186) it looks identical in design to the Officers and Warrant Officers mess dress collar badge. Although it is shown on a dark blue rectangle 60mm x 50mm.

There is another title. " Lancashires" was worn prior to "queens lancashire" . In gold anodised.
