Unfortunately, that doc was in the middle of a series of docs and it was a stand alone. It was the only doc about the issue in that series.

It must be a proposed design as the issue badge for Marine Craft Crew showed an anchor.

Very interesting topic guys, here are the RCAF WWII trade badges that I have in my collection. Would any one be kind enough to post examples of the trade badges that I am missing?

Bill A, that was a great find in your research. Thanks for posting that picture.

Like many, I'm missing the two or three rare ones but I also have a variant of the Air Frame Mechanic. It has an oversize propeller which is angled from the 11 - 5 o'clock position.

The backings on my trade patches are a mix of this fine cheesecloth weave, a tighter black mesh and some with no mesh at all. Does anyone know if all these variants were issued in wartime or are the white mesh ones post-war?

Bill Hampson's book published back in 1986, "Canadian Flying Services" has images of all of the trade badges discussed.

Default Hampson Book - Copywrite

Is the Hampson book not covered by a copyright? If so, I believe scanning pages from the book and hosting them on a forum constitutes a copyright infringement.
