Default My home town, I had to have it.

When I saw this on an overseas website I had to have as it was from my home town, and I have never seen one for sale before, I think it is Victorian. If anyone knows otherwise please let me know.

Regards

I've seen evidence of its wear during the Edwardian period. It may have been worn pre. 1902. They do surface occasionally and am led to believe that they were still in use into the 1930's when they were worn specifically at night and onto which was hung a rather heavy "Wotton" rechargeable lamp.

The appended photo may be of interest.

Dave.
