Default chinese made uniform buttons by "Royal Pewter" IRIS

In case you come across buttons marked "Royal Pewter" "Iris", be aware that they are a chinese product.

Now, who used the gorged, double headed eagle design?

Hi Btns,

Nice bit of detective work there, tracking down the backmark.

No idea on usage of that design of button though.

Cheers

Yes, thanks for the warning.

So far button collectors are relatively safe from the fakers (unlike badge collectors). There are a few out there but they are either fairly obvious fakes or well known.

Hopefully we can keep one another up to date if more fakes appear on the market.
