Cant find this example in any of my books is it Far east made please, many thanks

A fine small officer's badge. British made and silver plate with gilt overlays.

I would guess the backing plate is not original to the badge and just added to keep the red patch in place.

badge is 48 mm in hight so close to normal size ?
