Default Bedfordshire Regiment

Hi all,
Had this badge in the restrike box but just though I would ask you more knowledgable folk if it indeed a duffer.

Cool Bedfordshire Regiment

It looks to me like a nice original 1916 issue Bedfordshire Regiment cap badge.

Thanks for that Rob, the more I looked at it the better I liked it. The colour just looked wrong, but i'm used to seeing polished and worn examples, it just looked too new, but it came with a load of other original badges, hence my initial post.

I too was taken aback by the color, but I think it might be good badge as well.
Most of the fakes have lugs or solid centers.

John, it’s is a good 1916 GM Bedfordshire badge. One of the telltale ID features of this variant is the metal blob in the right corner below the right cross arm and above the last E in Bedfordshire.
