Cloth Badges
Hi what would be a fair / realistic price for these items? Have the chance to purchase them and my cloth knowledge is limited though would start me off in a good way, they are WW2 have seen a grouping like these sell on Ebay from £20 - £40, but also seen sold on the Forum from as little as a £5 to £15 per item? hence my interest in finding out a true price for them so 1. I don't rip him off and 2. I don't pay over the odds!
He says he has duplicates of some of these so as I know they come in pairs am thinking this is what he means? Is it better to keep pairs together or is one sufficient? Don't know this area at all! but ? Many thanks in advance Billy |

Billy,
I think if you were to look at this as a bulk purchase and average around 5 quid per item, then you will no doubt pay over for some (like the ACF shooting badge or the single pip) and under for some others (like the West Yorks shoulder title). At the end of the day there are around 40 badges there and someone getting 200 quid for what are essentially doubles, couldn't be too bad. You don't want to rip him off, but at the same time you have to try and get a good deal. Just my thoughts |

I agree with Rob. If you want to turn thses over for cash, sold as a job lot at 5 quid each is very fair. You'd be a long time moving them individually and some wouldn't fethc that so...

Billy,
There are couple of badges worth well in excess of £5. The 79th Armoured patch is at least £20. The W Yorks is WW1 (i would give you £70 for the W YORK if you get the lot!!). Some of the armbands are £10-15 each. regards Mark |
