Unknown Arab Police collar badges
Whilst at the police swap meet in Glasgow I picked up this pair of collars as “Bahrain Police” from an experienced collector. However two other equally experienced collectors are sure that they are from somewhere else in that region (though they can’t say exactly where). They measure 1 ¼” wide X 1” high.
Can anyone positively identify them for me please? Thanks Graham

I have a pair of those in gilt. I have always understood they were rank badges from Qatar. But I suppose collars are more likely. Not sure where I got this picture from.

Thanks Eddie, much appreciated. One of my friends has a pair of smaller versions of the headdress badge in his collection which makes sense as collars, so I think you’re probably right about these being rank insignia - guess your gilt pair are for the armed forces, with the chrome being police. I already have an embroidered British-style “QATAR POLICE” shoulder title so will need to find a home for these.
Thanks again Graham
