RAAF Brevit
Hi
I would appreciate any comments about the authenticity of this WW2 RAAF brevit, apparently worn during training period in Canada with the Empire Training Scheme. Thank you in anticipation. Cheers John |

Although the style/pattern is of the type produced in Canada and America for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan/Empire Air Training Scheme, and in rayon on wool rather than silk thread as was generally used elsewhere, wings and half wings with the white, loose weave backing are generally accepted as being repro.
Many were originally produced by the company 'Patch King' in the US as collectibles in the 40s and 50s, and there have been discussions as to whether they might have been bought by airmans in shops and ultimately worn but it's probably impossible to answer. |
