SAS and RAEC are the same other than insignia aren't they?

They are Leigh . I'm sure somebody showed a hat box recently that stated RAEC cap which was expunged and replaced by SAS .

I have an identical No1 Dress cap for Royal Signals with the same field officers peak but mine has some age to it and I guess that one is no more than 10 years old. The badge and backing is utter tosh. The auctioneers should be ashamed of themselves.
