Duds but for what?

I am sure the attached are reproductions but to satisfy my curiosity could anyone please tell me what unit the badge is for and in the case of the shoulder title did genuine examples exist or is it a fantasy item ?

From IWM descriptions of a grey wool jacket and a greatcoat (circa 1980).

"On each sleeve, just below the shoulder seam, is sewn a grey cloth badge with the legend ' S.S.A.F.A. NURSING SERVICE' embroidered in maroon silk thread. "

From my National Service days I can remember the Soldiers, Sailors and Air Forces Association but as to whether that title shown is genuine or not, no Idea! The badge shown is described in John Mills' excellent second volume of his "Badges on Battle Dress" volumes. (with a photo of it being worn) D.J.
