From the early 1960s service stripes (chevrons) were reduced in size for wear on the newly introduced No2 Dress, they were also made using machine embroidery. The Household Division (Household Cavalry, Foot Guards and the Honourable Artillery Company) retained the full size to this day but again in machine embroidery.
Your chevrons look to be full size and made from tape machine sewn to khaki material so pre 1960s and possibly as early as the 1920s. Tim

To my knowledge, it is impossible to date these service dress chevrons beyond what Tim mentioned. That said, they are most likely WW2 era as huge quantities were produced during that time frame. The only type that I am aware of which can be dated to a narrow time frame were the printed WW2 type.
