The bullion patina appears to be old.

Not the expert, but it looks like a blazer patch to me, if it's big enough to serve that purpose. I will say that it is a very nice patch, and the patina is awesome!

All opinions are welcomed as I think its a blazer badge or patch , maybe Association Blazer Badge is the correct term, I dont know.

I wonder why this would not have a crown for such a historical regiment?
