Irish badge for ID

Hi All
Can anyone ID this large Irish badge, it looks like a caubeen badge. The rear is cast but there is nice detail on the front so I believe it is genuine and perhaps not die-stamped as the crown would be too weak? It looks like QVC to me.
Any ideas?

Looks to be a cast copy of a Royal Irish Constabulary officer's sabretache badge. Would expect an original sabretache badge to have screwposts. Any RIC officer's badges I've seen have all been of superior quality.
