Unknown medal ribbon
Anyone familiar with this ribbon? To be clear, I have no idea what country it's from. I tried to search the internet but didn't find a match. Or at least I didn't notice a match.

I have looked through the small but excellent book 'British Campaign Medals. Waterloo to the Falklands' by Robert W. Gould, but failed to recognise it, but would add the illustrations are not in colour and with my poor eyesight I may have missed it, but I don't think so.
Nagging at the back of my mind is a suggestion of a Canadian medal. Edited to add: What I had in mind was the Canadian General Campaign Star, but upon looking it up, the width of the stripes do not appear to be the same so, sorry I give up, except to note it is of course the colours of the Italian flag. Regards, John

That appears to be the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Long Service medal. Here's a link to a great website that covers the army cadets history in Canada - http://www.armycadethistory.com/ and this medal in particular - http://www.armycadethistory.com/Trop...rvicemedal.htm

The other John is absolutely right: Canadian Army Cadets, but unless I threw it away by mentioning the colours of the Italian flag, I claim half a point for that little nagging thought of it being Canadian, but ten points to the other John for getting it sorted. Well done
John

Wow.... I never would have figured that out myself. I didn't know cadets awarded anything like that. Thank you very much John!
