Default Royal Tank Corps "Reverseing" Tank W/M Badge.

Opinions on this w/m badge which I purchased a few months ago
please.

It's from the same die as the two badges shown in this thread of oc14's from last year, albeit without the spurious manufacturer's mark on the slider which is attached to the rear of the tank rather than the crown on this example.

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...highlight=Tank

The jewels along the base of the crown are distinctive, oddly shaped.
The die is obviously one that has produced at least two (three?) varieties of fakes/repros but was it one that produced genuine ones?

Leigh,

I cant say for sure but I thought originals had loops and that those fitted with sliders had their loops removed and replaced with a slider. Yours has no signs of removed loops. I may of course be totally incorrect.

regards

Genuine examples can be found on both loops and sliders. Your badge is a fake Leigh I’m afraid.
