Thanks for the clarification Mike. I have an idea Tommy was on the run and captured a couple of times.

Mission QUININE is covered on several pages in ‘Special Forces in the Invasion of France’ by Paul Gaujac published in 1999 by Histoire & Collections ISBN 2 908 182 947

QUININE arrived from Blida by Halifax during the night of 8/9 June 1944 on the Luzettes plateau near Aurillac. On the DZ an excited maquisard raced across the field in front of the paratroopers he had just greeted: “We’ve got a French officer and he’s brought his wife along!”
The ‘wife’ was Major R Tommy MacPherson (code name Anselme) wearing his kilt. The other Jed Team members were Lieutenant Michel de Bourbon-Parme (Aristide) and Sergeant Oliver Brown (Felicien) Royal Armoured Corps.
QUININE remained operational until the end of July 1944.

I have recently acquired this magnificent grouping.

While not explicitly documented, there is a high likelihood that these insignia are from a single trooper. Provenance: The Putnam Green/Sycamore Collection.

These insignia and their stories are available on Les Hughes’s site.

Lovely grouping - Wow if all from one trooper ... they must have been a 'collector' ... Thanks for sharing.
Love the 3 Contingent OG too

That is the wing I posted above. Since there were no replies to my inquiry, I figured it was either a bad one (I figured it is) or a good one that nobody wanted to mention so they could bid on it.
