Default CEF 73rd Collar Badge

H ito all,

Here are photos of my CEF 73rd collar badge made of Sterling silver. The collar measures 29mm by 30mm. According to Charlton book the 73rd Officers collar badge is gilt on brass and made by Hemsley. I presume the one I have is a private purchase? Let me know what you think. Thanking you all in advance and hoping to hear from some of you very soon.

Regards, juno-44

Hi
I believe any badges with an original brooch pin like the badge in picture is a sweetheart badge. Many dealers claim CEF badges with brooch pins were officers but they really were not, just a good excuse to inflate prices.
Nice brooch.
Kind regards
Dan
