I like the reverse rather more than the obverse, but, I think that is more to do with the photograph and not the badge which certainly appears to be original.

Hi gents one more question' the badge belonged to a former Royal Scots Greys n.c.o who transferred to the RFC as a drill instructor my question is Would a senior n c.o get away wearing an officers quality cap badge please ??

It is an officers cap badge, but, because something "belongs" to a person really does not rather mean anything unless assumptions are made, what I would ask is simply how and when was it obtained?
