Default RCAF No?

Take a look at the badge in this picture & tell me who wore this type of cap. First I thought it was a Army cap with a Air Force badge in it but the background of the badge is khali. Could it still be RCAF? He has it listed as Army WWI, Even the RCAF didn't wear that badge in ww1.. http://cgi.ebay.ca/WW1-Canadian-Army...3A6%7C294%3A50

Hi Ray, that's a good ol' RCAF Officer's peaked cap, worn until 1953'ish. That seller is a so-called "antiques" dealer and wouldn't the difference between army or air force cap ( I was thinking of another saying but, in English, I'm way too polite to write it in this Forum). He's even selling an "antique Air Canada" cap.......

So Jo is it really a khaki colour cap to go with the summer dress uniform? OR
Does it only appear to be khaki, I've never seen one that colour.

Ray, I checked the Dress Orders for the Royal Canadian Air Force 1958, and the only colour for caps is blue. That covers 1958 and on, but not prior.

As far as I can see, from the photograph, the cap is a very very faded regulation RAF/RACF blue and nowhere near khaki.......If you look at an enlargement (bottom right) of the cap badge, you can see the colour of the cap around the cap badge, which is blue.

Jo, I think you are right, even the backing of the badge looks khaki in that photo. I think the whole thing is badly faded blue ,now that I've taken a better look.
