RASC/RCT
This has probably the weirdest thread I will ever start, and it's not really to do with badges, however, a friend of mine bought a Dinky Toys Thorneycroft tank transporter along with a centurion tank, OK nothing unusual here except both items have been silver/chrome plated.
We spoke about this and my opinion was that it had been done to commemorate someones service or for some special occasion. Does anyone know of such a happening? All thoughts and help appreciated. Rob |

Truck off . . !
Phil, I love your thought, could be a volunteer wagon.

Rob,
Almost certainly a presentation item perhaps as a Mess table decoration. I have seen the 'Bronze Green' version displayed in the offices of people who served with the BAOR Tank Transporter Squadrons. Tim

Similar toy 105 mm Hows, 5.5" Med Guns and 25 pr Fd Guns, chromed and mounted on plinths to be used as Regimental presentation pieces. A common occurrence at one time.

Dinky toys thoughts
Thanks for your replies, I'm sure it's a presentation piece, my friend was going to "restore it" but I think he's had second thoughts.
