Default Unknown early South African title

I’m afraid my ignorance of South African titles continues. This is another one I picked up from a old antiques shop in Simonstown nearly 20 years ago. Would someone be kind enough to relive me of my lack of knowledge and let me know what it is? It’s got curious flared lugs with circular holes in them.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Jon

It is Railways & Harbours Brigade. The top is Afrikaans -
"Spoorweer en Hawens Brigaad"...I hope that is the correct spelling...
Cheers,
Alex

These guys did Stirling work "Up North", clearing harbours and tunnels and repairing hundreds of miles of railway lines. Sadly these backroom boys are largely overlooked, the fighting units getting most of the glory as is the norm.

Their published Regimental History "Wheels Across the Miles" is a must for SA collectors, hard to find these days but they do pop up from time to time.
