Default 4th [Hazara] Mountain Battery

Hello folks;
I have a medal group to a signaller Lance Naik in the 4th Hazara mountain battery, with 1908-35 [Mohmand bar] and 1936-39 India General Service Medals. I wondered what cap badge would be appropriate to go with this?
thanks
Matt

Each Indian Mountain Battery wore a distinctive badge. This badge was worn by British Offrs on the helmet, while Indian Offrs and ORs wore the same brass badge on the upper left arm, as they wore a turban (pagri) without any adornment at this time. While I have seen all the Mtn Arty pagris owned by Norman Litchfield, and illustrated in his booklet on Pagri Badges, sadly Hazara Bty was not among them.

Brilliant thanks, I will have a scout round some more pics and books, see what I can find. I am sure I have seen a pic somewhere now my memory has been refreshed, but where!
best wishes
Matt

Hi,
have a look at www.king-emperor.com/article1.htm. This whilst not showing the badges give a history and variations in the naming of medals.

regards
Steve
