Default Original Or Repro SAS Patches

I currently have these two patches up for sale on Ebay. I was just informed today on the World Mlitaria Forum that they are repros. Before I take the auctions down, I want to be sure. Any thoughts?

Many thanks. Dan

100% duff I am sorry to say - both are wrong.
I do not want to give reasons why as 'repro' merchants will use any information to improve their efforts.
Basically - the reverse often tells you as much as the front
Both incorrect unfortunately
Mike

Dan, as mentioned in my PM's on the WMF. The reverse is always telling, as noted by Mike. In most cases done to obscure the reverse thread returns. It is very difficult to get them to look right when copying an insignia. In addition, the front design thread and thread color is way off. I am glad to see you pursued this a bit farther and getting opinions. These copies are meant to represent Commando related signs.

Hi Jack, Thomas and Mike,

I appreciate the quick responses. It looks like the “tell” is the back which shouldn’t be surprising since I collect US patches and often the back is as important as the front.

Many thanks to all.

Dan
