Two page letter sent by Alexander H Knox 6048 C Coy 10th Black Watch 18/9/16. From Sutton Verny Camp.
Writing to a family member he was billeted with, apologising for not sending a regimental cane but enclosed three regimental officers buttons instead. The letter ends by saying he is going to France as we have been equipped with respirators. Three buttons by Armfield mounted on a twisted brass wire.
