Captain Henry Atholl Charles Wallace was born in 1879. He served in the Boer War, receiving the King's South Africa Medal and the accompanying clasps. He enlisted into the Canadian Expeditionary Force in August 1914 and went to France in February 1915. He was married to Winifred and had two children, Harold and Dorothy. He was killed in action near Ypres on 22 April 1915 aged 35.
