Default Colours of CCF titles

Anyone know how the colours of CCF titles are determined, some seem to be based on the colours of affiliated units and some perhaps based on school colours but in the attached examples the same unit has changed the colours entirely at some time.

Anyone know what the explanation might be ?

Thanks

P.B.

Peter some units have different coloured titles dependant on the Service Section. For Instance at Worksop College the army section wore Yellow on Navy titles, The RAF wear light blue on gray titles and the Navy Section wear Red on Navy titles.

In the case of the titles that you show, the unit is currently affiliated to The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment - when I worked with them (circa 2005/2006) they were wearing the cap badge of the Royal Artillery which might explain the red and blue colour scheme.

Other than that there really doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to it i'm afraid !

Thanks Paul,

Didnt know about the RA affiliation ( but I did about the Duke of Lancaster's ) so that might explain the changes.

Just to confuse things a bit more here is a YouTube clip titled "King Williams College celebrates 100 years of the Combined Cadet Force". The screen grabs appear to show 3 different coloured titles , Navy cadets with white and red writing and Army cadets with yellow writing.

Thanks again Mike,

With what Paul said about the various sections of some CCF’s wearing their own coloured titles, the fog is beginning to clear in the case of King Williams College.
