Default Military Foot Police

Hi All
Comments on this badge please? To me it looks good though the construction is unusual. It is well made and has all the patina of genuine age but the scroll is not tabbed to the crown, rather just soldered at the edges, very cleanly with little or no solder mess. Nice crimp on the slider as well. Good solid construction.
Appreciate any comments. Cheers,
Alex

Sorry it's all been discussed before and the bi-metal ones are old fakes. MFP generally wore the normal CMP badge. There was one exception which is the all brass one shown in K&K but this was not general issue.

From the photographs, in particular, the second, showing the reverse, I would say it actually looks to be of very recent manufacture, with absolutely no age whatsoever.

No, it has a nice patina. I just brightened the image to enhance the detail or it would have been too dull to see much.

Really, I think, just from that photograph, it actually looks brand new, awful smooth reverse, very clearly made recently, on the obverse, the font used, the letters do not look original either, complete rubbish, get a refund.

Not worth the effort. It didn't cost much so I'll just take the knock.
Cheers,
Alex
