I would have thought after the regiment was created, so at some point after the merger in October 1992, they have certainly been the norm for many years now.

Thanks Frank. I was under the impression that after the "Options For Change" massacre, when the HCR was created, both elements of the new regiment retained their seperate identities badge-wise. I can't keep up with all this modern-day malarkey.

Individual sqns wear the 2 old badge designs (LG and Blues&Royals).

However the Garter badge is worn by some ORs when serving outside the Sqns.
