Default Colour patch WW1 or WW2

Hi all
what do you think ww1 or ww2 colour patch the back of card gives his name (period written) but he enlisted in 1942 so what is the patch or miss named photo.

Hi Rob,

Probably 1 Div Arty, standard patch, standard size for the WW2 period. What's the man's service record on the DVA nominal roll say.

Yes, that probably makes it 1 Aust Div Artillery then. They were a NSW organization.

Although RHQ 54 Aust Comp AA Regt was Tasmanian (ex RHQ 110th Aust Tank Attack Regiment), the two batteries were both recruited from NSW personnel.

So, probable service in Northern Territory, including Darwin, and also Truscott airfield in the top end of Western Australia.
