Default Wanted-Swagger stick cane

Hi Guy's,
I'm looking for the cane to a swagger stick. Don't need the silver top. Can anyone help me find one?
Regards
Irv

As they come in a range of sizes/shapes/materials, perhaps you could be a bit more specific please.

Hi T,
Thanks for the reply.

Actually the swagger stick (walking out cane) is a pretty standard bit of kit. I have quite a few and they are all 3/8” x 27” (1cm x 68 1/2 cm). That measurement is from the top of the cap to the end of the cane. If it doesn’t have the cap it will obviously be shorter.
I hope you can help to find a cane for me.

Also I would love to see all the different varying sizes you have.
Regards
Irv

I have a one to 2/4th grenadiers, made in India, with a tan stick and a brass end, which could be used, if you removed the top.

Hi,
I would certainly consider it but I would hate to destroy a stick from another unit.
But please pm a price.

I have seen sticks of different colour and type of wood- for example RFC are often on a bamboo type cane and I would have thought a rifles type regiment might be black? Regards, Paul.

Ironically, I don't have two that have the same dimensions, although many are close to what you quoted. The real outlier is my Northumberland Hussars, which has a circumference of 70mm where the stick joins the cap. It's also the shortest of the lot at 64.5cm. Looks a bit like a truncheon, really.

It would be a shame to break up this swagger stick, and I would be interested in buying it if it is for sale.

I also have a swagger stick cane that might be suitable for Irv.

I have a nickel silver topped one to the P.A.L.I. which, oddly enough, has been cracked and then "skillfully" bound with fine copper wire much like a favourite fishing rod...

Would appear to be pretty much standard. These are all Royal Marine walking out sticks (Swagger sticks)
This is the type of stick I am looking for. 3/8x27 inch.

I’m sure there are variations, but this is the standard cane.
Cheers for taking the time to participate.

Irv

The one that I am offering for sale is the one at the top of the previous photograph.

The top has been fitted badly at some point in its life and the black paint/lacquer on the shaft is very tatty.
