RAF all metal officer badges

Very interesting thread for me as I am not that knowledgeable on RAF badges. have attached a bronze version of the economy type badge in the collection. May I ask what era it was worn and by what rank group? I have labelled it a WOs badge out of ignorance.

It is a WO badge. I also have one and believe it could be for the Royal Australian Air Force, in WWII, as most of their cap badges were "bronzed".

Dave - you've labelled your Gaunt WWI badge as 'silver'. Were these badges gilded silver or is there a maker plate to indicate it is silver?
