Brecknockshire badge

Is this authentic? (& period appropriate?)

I purchased this Brecknockshire cap badge recently at a local military show, it was labeled as a BEF (first world war)

Thoughts?

You’ll need to try & get some better images for a definitive opinion, but in any event the Brecknockshire Batt’n of the SWB were not part of the BEF. They were sent to India.

Okay, that makes sense. That's what I had looked up as well after the show. Though I don't really have many British badges, I normally collect CEF, and some BEF so for argument sake I thought I'd represent it the way it was sold to me. (In case someone knows something I don't or wouldn't know)

I'm unsure of its authenticity because the scroll looks like it was attached after the badge was made. If it's normal I'm good with that, if it's a fake or not period appropriate what tells should I look for?

I'm having issues with the photo orientation too, where I upload them correctly but the dont post correctly, though that's a whole different thing I'm looking into on my end.

Thank you, Maybe this forum isn't intended for use on a mobile phone? I've been having issues with search functions as well.
