Group of young lads T/HCB shoulder title is evident.

I think that they may be among the first recruits into the HCB after Kitchener's call for a million men as they have been issued chairs in lieu of bicycles. The lad at the front left has clearly ridden a bicycle before whereas the lad at front right is obviously a novice.

Then they must be HCB (Highland Chair Battalion).
