Default (Modern?) Mark - anyone recognise it.

Below is a mark on the reverse of a fairly modern Irish Guards Officer's service dress cap star.

Does anyone have any information on the mark, ... maker, date, whether original made for commercial purposes etc...

John

S over M ? - They are an official supplier to MOD but probably sell to dealers as well. They also made a lot of the Gilt & Enamel Queens Lancashire badges!

Is the IG badge an Officers or Warrant Officers badge?

Hello, with reference to the SM mark on the badges, I believe this to be Shaw Munster. Hope this helps.
