CDN Airborne 1945 Brass Cap Badge
Hello I was passing by EvilBay Lol. I believe it to be the one handed out in 1945 on their return to the UK the small brass cap badges were issued to the Other Ranks.
It has a brass back plate ? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWAX:IT |

Voltigeur Badge Guru Thanks for the heads up It looks so much like the real one. Is it the Pine Holes or something stamped on the back?
See hes asking $200 as a starting bid? But claims not to be sure. Thanks again for your Valuable Info Voltigeur |

Hi again Recce, if you want to see a real 1st CanPara badge go check tedwarland album in the "All Albums" section. And for Ray, good eyes here, good of you to send me the "check this one out" notice.
Cheers to both. Jo

Hi Recce, Some things "wrong" with the badge in question: Or's badges were not cast brass, this one is cast. The size appears to be the late / post war die, a bit bigger than the correct pattern. There is some "odd" wear on the badge, not consistent with wear and tear. Have a look at the canopy and shroud lines.
