Help wanted with a RA soldiers career details please
Hi All,
I would like to try and obtain some details of an Airborne Royal Artillery soldier, J.D. Skaife D'Ingerthorpe please. I believe he was an O/R with the number:1081726 His Officer number was:212920 He was awarded the 39-45, Africa (8th Army), Italy, F+G and an MiD (Wish i knew what for). I only know that he was with the 300 (Independent) Anti-Tank Battery in the MEF 7 June 1943 HQ 76 A.A.Bde in Feb 1946 |

A William Henry Skaife-D'Ingerthorpe was an officer in the RNVR during WWI.

I believe that it is and that the date in the last column is the date of his discharge from the ranks to his commission.

The National Registration Number on the enlistment register shows that in 1939 he was living at 12 Beaulieu Drive, Harrow, Middx as recorded on the 1939 Register.
The main entry has been redacted, presumably because he was deemed to be alive when the Register was released. Jon |
