The original whistle in this thread that was sold for over £1k was obviously a case of shill bidding.

Check the feedback they left for each other

It's a simple case of one person having two accounts and bidding on their own items. The under bidder in the whistle auction probably realised this and was seeing how far they could push the "other bidder".

No one would pay this for this whistle

The buyer can now claim non receipt of goods, but maintain his own credibility, fast payer, large sum...... Some scam in the future will happen me thinks.

I wonder if ebay has been made aware of this.

I would have thought it would be picked up he was bidding on two accounts at the same time, on the same ISP address. Unless that's not an issue.
